The infrastructural development of our institute has been in a continuous process. Our focus has been on simultaneous growth of both basic needs of the students like classrooms, laboratories, workshops, library, conference hall, etc. for academic activities on one hand and student support facilities like hostels, canteen, stationery shop, medical support, transport, student’s activity center etc. on the other. The development of the institute has been planned in a phased manner so that the required facilities become available well before the need arises. |
Classrooms : |
The institute has well-lit and ventilated classrooms and tutorial rooms. All the classrooms are spacious and kept hygienic for the focused study and wellbeing of the students.

Computer Centre : |
A reputed center of excellence in Computer Technology Education, the department has kept abreast with the rapidly changing developments in computation with well quipped and advanced labs.
1. State of the art computing facilities is provided in the region with the latest hardware and software.
2. The department has about 180 latest Dual Core and 105 Core 2 Duo connected to servers through campus LAN.

Electrical Lab : |
Our Electrical lab caters to 300 students of all branches of 1st year. Students are exposed to various types of ac/dc inductors, transistors and transformers. They are able to visualize their operation and maintenance features. They also work on semiconductor kits of rectifier and amplifiers circuits. Students practically verify various theorems taught to them in theory like Norton Theorem. By practical classes, we help them to assure their interest in this field. |
Chemistry Lab : |
Chemistry lab helps students in analyzing various samples to determine alkalinity, chlorine, iron content etc. in the given sample through Spectro Photometric, PH Metric and Metal Ore Analysis. Students also determine equivalent weights, viscosity of polymers as well as they carry out functional group identification in the organic compounds. During these experiments, students also learn to use various instruments like Electrical Balances, P-H Meter and Spectro Photometers. |
Physics Lab : |
physics lab contains various set ups to conduct experiments in optical, magnetic and electrical properties of various materials. Optical experiments are carried out to measure the wavelength of light by using Newton 's Rings Biprisms and Transmission Grading. A specially designed dark room for required experiments to determine the type, density and energy bands of given semiconductor material. Professional Communication Lab : |
Professional Communication Lab caters to enhance the communication skills of the students. In the labs, student-teacher interaction sessions are conducted to remove the hesitation of every student and teach them the nuances of speech with great felicity and versatility. Group discussions, Seminars, Mock Interviews, Debates and Phonetic exercises are frequently conducted in the Lab. Institute is proud to have the first Digital Language Lab in Kanpur. In the lab, students are facilitated with VCDs on Better Spoken English, Round Table discussions on manifold social & educational issues, Functional Linguistics, Tips for Aspiring Entrepreneur, Creative Career Planning, sample interviews, group discussion, English for Business Communication, English for Science and Technology, Time Management & various other Software programs like Pronunciation Power 2,in order to enhance their professional communication skills. |
Workshop : |
Workshop technology is an extremely important practical subject for engineers opting for various manufacturing fields. A well laid out workshop comprising of Machine Shop, Welding, Black Smithy, Carpentry, Fitting and Sheet Metal Shop has been set up.
Practical hand on training on all the above streams of Workshop Technology is imparted to the students by assigning different jobs. First year students of all branches undergo the above training in the workshop. |
Library : |
KIOT has fully computerized library cum study hall with a collection of more than 6,000 books for Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, IT, Applied Science, Chemistry, Physics, Environmental Science. Photocopy facility is also available within the library to provide better assistance to the students. Compact Disks of various books, magazines etc. are also available in the Library to provide guidance to the students. |
